Public School

It is still a challenging reality that thousands of village children in our country lack access even to preliminary education. Acute poverty, backwardness and social discrimination all hamper their progress in life. It is a common sight in these villages little children doing some sort of menial jobs for a living. To help their cause Missions India started a school in Tumgaon, Chhattisgarh in 1996.

Skills Training

It was in 1980 the Skills Training Centre for girls commenced in Navajeevodayam Centre. Here girls from poor backgrounds are imparted training in various vocational skills for six months in a spiritual atmosphere. The training programme includes Tailoring, Printing, Binding, Embroidery, and Computer (DTP). Apart from enabling these girls to make Christ-centred homes, this holistic training equips them to be self-supportive and to contribute substantially to the family income. 30-40 girls avail training in each batch at Navajeevodayam centre. Similar Skills Training Centres are operative in the mission fields in North India as well.
